  • Why use a charter yacht broker?
A charter yacht broker is similar to a travel agent and all brokers have access to all listed yachts. There is NO additional cost to you as the yacht owners pay the brokers directly. You will not find a better deal anywhere as yachts do not lower the price without a broker. Our BVI based brokers have first-hand knowledge of the cruising area around the BVI, the crews and the yachts! We regularly attend boat shows every year to meet crew, inspect boats, and sample foods and cocktails. Our brokers act as your personal concierge. We will assist with finding the best yacht with a fabulous crew to meet your vacay vibes and budget, as well as logistics, travel arrangements, dietary restrictions and itinerary preferences. We will ensure every aspect of your charter is fastidiously taken care of, down to the smallest detail. This is our top priority!
  • How do we book/reserve a charter?
Our main goal is to recommend quality yachts and their crew that meet your specific vacay vibes, needs and budget. When you have chosen your yacht, we will request a 48-hour complimentary hold while you check flights and make a commitment. Our next step is getting the secure contract to you for review and signature. Aqua uses the CYBA standard contract which offers an added layer of protection. Once all parties have signed, you will receive your completed copy. A 50% deposit is due upon signature with the balance due 60 days before the charter. The deposit and balance are held in a private escrow account until a few days before your charter and it is protected under the CYBA standard broker agreement. Your vacation is set and there are no surprises.
  • How long are yacht charters?
7 nights is generally the average number of nights. Most yachts can charter a minimum of 5 nights up to any duration you would like. Typically yachts charter for 5 nights minimum. The rate for 6 nights is the rate divided by 7 and multiplied by 6. However, anything less than 6 nights the rate is divided by 6 and multiplied by the number of nights. There are a few yachts that offer overnight charters with a minimum of 3 nights. Please enquire.
  • What amenities are included in the charter?
All yachts are all-inclusive with a professional captain and private chef. larger catamarans may have additional crew such as deckhands and steward(ess). All meals, snacks, standard ship’s bar (liquor, wine, beer, and soft drinks), fuel and all water sports activities. SCUBA diving is included on some vessels. Wifi is included and many yachts have Starlink onboard. Otherwise, regular Wifi can be spotty around the islands. All yachts will have air conditioning available, along with a water maker and ice machine. Linens, towels, soaps, shampoos are also supplied.
  • What is NOT included in the charter price?
Not included are crew gratuities of 15-20%, optional marina docking/berthing for an overnight stay, excursions, meals and drinks ashore, special requests for top-shelf liquor, wine, or excessive alcohol consumption. Transfers to and from the airport are not included although we can have taxi's waiting to bring you to your yacht.
  • Should we get travel insurance?
It is highly recommended that you purchase trip insurance. Major travel insurance companies can cover cancellations due to extreme weather or an Act of God, emergency medical issues, and other specific situations. Please inquire with your preferred travel insurance company or we can recommend a few companies.
  • What is the cancellation policy?
In the unlikely event of your canceling the charter, all payments are forfeited. However, if the yacht can re-book a different charter for the same dates, there is a chance of a partial refund. In some cases, a future date can be chosen, and the deposit can be held. We recommend purchasing travel insurance which may cover your losses.
  • Can we choose the itinerary?
A month from the charter date, we will put you in direct contact with the crew. They will go over your preference sheets and itinerary with you. Our yachts offer customized itineraries designed for your needs and vacay vibes. No cookie cutter vacations here!
  • Can dietary restrictions be met?
Our chefs are prepared to work with all dietary restrictions and allergies, including and not limited to gluten free, vegan and vegetarian. About a month prior to your embarkation, Aqua will send out a preference sheet where each guest can tell us about their special dietary requirements and allergies, etc. Please mention this during our search process and we can contact the chefs for more information.
  • What should I pack?
Essentials such as passport and documentation are very important. You must also show a return ticket when you clear into the Territory. As there is limited storage available on the yachts, please use a strong soft covered duffle bag with wheels. These will store easier on the yacht. You will spend most of your time in shorts and t shirts and swim wear. Casual comfortable attire is great for on the boat. You can dress up a little more stylish for dinner ashore or even onboard if you wish. During the winter months, there may be a little chill in the air, please bring a light sweater. Shoes are not worn onboard the yacht, and flip flops or water shoes are good options for heading ashore. If you have a Go Pro, you should definitely bring one and capture the majestic underwater world. Chargers for your devices, sunglasses and hats are also recommended.
